Spontaneous and creative, his dishes are a delicious balance of tradition and innovation inspired by the guests he serves. (For a group that had been dancing with roses, he once presented a risotto garnished with rose petals and champagne!) Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included.
At Terzo di Danciano we host guests from all over the world with a wide variety of dietary restrictions and preferences. From personal preferences to dietary restrictions such as gluten or allergies, we do our best to accommodate every person - we simply need the information in advance so we can prepare the best menu possible.
All our ingredients are locally sourced, seasonal, and fresh. We carefully select the fruits and vegetables that we serve to our guests. The meat we serve is local, pasture-raised from nearby farmers, the furthest is 30 minutes from our center. We source fresh fish from our local market, delivered daily from both the Adriatic and the Tirreno Sea. Full European Breakfast. Our rich European breakfast includes everything you could desire for a fulfilling first meal of the day. Fresh cold-pressed fruit juice, eggs, cheese, prosciutto, salmon, a variety of fresh fruit, nuts and seeds, organic sourdough bread, home-made marmalade, organic honey, yogurt and much more. We offer organic cow milk, and a wide selection of milk alternatives for your organic herbal tea or coffee. SEASONS
We are often asked what time of year is the best time to hold an event at our venue. At Terzo di Danciano, every season holds its own wonder, and our prices are equally approachable year-round. As one of our guests said so beautifully, “This villa is magic and you will fall under a spell that keeps you happy, healthy, and feeling refreshed.”
The spring brings bright skies and fresh daisies to the hillsides, the summer brings warm, sunny sunflowers blooming in the fields, fall brings the bounty of the
olive harvest, and in winter, a magical hush descends on the Tuscan landscape outside, while inside the villa is alive with the warmth of the spa, movement in the dance studio, and the crackle of the fire.
Weather of course can be unpredictable anywhere in the world, in any season - but at Terzo we always find a way, there is always something to do, and, the experience is always something wonderful.
STUDIO SPACE
This soaring space at the top of the Bachificio has had many lives. Originally it was a nursery producing the finest silk, then for making the sweetest Vino Santo, and now for the past 13 years it has been our dedicated space for gathering, community, and transformation. We have hosted facilitators and participants of all ages, from all walks of life, from all over the world. Whatever experience you desire to create with your group, this centuries old studio updated with modern wifi, and bluetooth sound system is ready to host your magic. Positioned perfectly for natural light, sunbeams pour in across the 200 sq meters of hardwood floors from sunrise to sunset.
DINING ROOM
Built in the late 1800s, originally this large room with vaulted ceiling was used for a stable. This is the place of conviviality and tradition where the flavors of Italian cuisine are discovered. The majestic, ancient stone fireplace in the center of the room reminds us where cooking has been done for centuries and centuries, where even today, as soon as the first cold weather arrives, we gather to share our stories.
THE SURROUNDING HILLSIDES
Beyond the gates of the villa, the hillsides await. Take a walk and explore the oak and chestnut trees, experience panoramic views, and watch baby goats cavorting in the neighboring pastures. And if you walk softly, you just may catch glimpses of our local foxes, rabbits, and deer.
RELAXATION ROOM
On the ground floor of the Bachificio building, next to the dining room is our spacious relaxation room. Perfect for reading a great book, having deep conversations with new-found friends or for leading a session that is part of your program, it provides a ‘home base’ for you and your fellow retreat participants during your stay. The unique interior reflects an artist’s sensibility, and our bookshelves hold beautiful books about legendary artists you are free to borrow while you’re here.
THE GARDEN
Our garden has ancient mulberry and olive trees from which we harvest olives to produce our own cold-pressed virgin olive oil. The garden unfolds in 3 cultivated terraces with stone wall perimeters and enjoys a breathtaking view of the valley.

"My wife and I recently spent a delightful Yoga Retreat at Terzo. The retreat center is warm and welcoming. It is located on an hillside overlooking a classic Tuscan valley. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and pillows. The en-suite bathroom is very adequate and showers have plenty of hot water and water pressure. The food was fantastic with chef prepared meals. The menus were creative.The spa was beautiful and massages heavenly. The facilities were ideal for yoga and pool refreshing. Lastly the owners Luca and Christina could not have more charming or helpful. Great place for viewing sunrise."
